Goose Island with Gale Force Winds!

This was our camp area when we arrived at Goose Island on March 2nd. The winds were unbelievable and the bay was whipped up with swells breaching the sea wall. Our camp site was...shall we say alittle wet! Doug hated the salt water spray getting all over the motorhome...so we moved from this site to one that was sheltered in the tree line. The weather stayed like this for 2 days and then we had a day of beautiful weather.

The fresh spring water pool at Fort Clark

Can you find me? I was the only one in the pool. It was a beautiful day...warm and sunny! The temp of the water was around 68 degrees...when you first get in...it feels cold but then it feels great! Had a wonderful swim...pool is 100' x 300'. No chemicals, spring fed and the water that goes out of the pool actually starts the creek that runs through the fort grounds.

Dad getting ready to get into the pool! We laid out in the sun enjoying the great day God had blessed us with.

Friends in our camp ground....

Fort Clark has wild turkeys running around everywhere as well as lots of the little Texas black tail deer. We had turkeys walk right through our camp site as we were eating dinner!

Time on the links!

Fort Clark has a 9-hole pitch and putt and an 18 hole course. Doug and I golfed 3 times on the 9-hole course. We had so much fun. I got to use my woods even though you should only need your irons. I am still not getting distance but actully am getting some straight shots! Putting??? These greens were with a minimum of 60% grade....

Fort Clark Springs

Getting ready to enjoy our dinner after a great bike ride. This is an old fort that has been purchased and turned into a small community in the middle of no-where. We loved it here!

Still in Scottsdale!

One of Dossie's favorite spots! We are in ole' Town at a beautiful fountain with bronze horses. It was a great day...very warm! We spent a couple of hours touring the shops and enjoying our time together.

Let's try to post the pictures!

Enjoying a meal in Old Town Scottsdale with Louis and Dossie. Dossie did very well sitting in the booth and enjoyed being out of her wheelchair.
